I'm Italian but I live in Belgium since 2012 and I've been living in Spain from 2006 to 2009.
I graduated in 2008 with a Master's Degree in Foreign Languages for International Communication.
Between the Bachelor's and the Master's degree I attended an advanced course in Modern Languages and Specialized Translation at the SSLMIT (School of Foreign Languages for Interpreters and Translators) in Forlì.
After my Master's degree I started working as a translator for individuals; I mainly translated essays, university thesis (technical and scientific to humanistic ones), research materials, web content and advertising, pamphlets and tourism/travel content.
In 2007 I joined the NGO Green Farm Movement when I was in charge of translating documents concerning international cooperation and development (social case studies, documentaries, web content, thematic books, etc.).
During an internship at FMR, an art publishing house in Bologna, I continued to deal with translation in the marketing and communication field; this experience was essential in order to be hired as the communication assistant (especially responsible for translation) for an international project focused on road safety (Young Europe).
When I moved in Belgium in 2012 I had the chance to start working for a big company (LVMH) as a translator and digital coordinator. Here I daily translated ranging from more technical and specific fields (e.g. supply chain, internal softwares, company policies and procedures, products) to general web content (Intranet,website) and internal/external communication.
Thanks to the very good results obtained as a translator and my big passion for languages, in June 2016 I decided to start a career as a freelancer. This gave me the great opportunity to expand my areas of expertise thanks to the variety of clients I work for.
Both on general and technical translations I put all my passion and accuracy in order to produce a clear document in terms of content and layout as well.
I know how important is coerence when translating from a language to another and what I consider necessary in translations is to give the target language content the same clarity and efficacy used in the source language document.
I am a very well-organized person, used to work under pressure and manage priorities, who will always give her best to be on time and to work very precisely and carefully, with a strong commitment to constant-learning.
More, I am an active listener with an eye always focused on details and so far these features have provided me with the ability to understand every client needs, establishing with them long-lasting relationships based on mutual respect and trust.
