I have a large pptx project in DVX2.

It will export to a pptx file.

When opened, there is a prompt to repair the file (the only option to open it).

Once repaired, all the text is there in the thumbnails and in non-standard views, but not in the standard slides.

I have checked the embedded codes and they all appear to be correct.

Any suggestions/workarounds?

Thanks!

I wonder ... Nov 16, 2020

... whether X2 is still able to cope with the newest MS Office formats. Even X3 has undergone a few updates. Perhaps you should download X3 and try your file in the test version of X3 to see, whether the same error occurs there too.

Refresh All Objects Nov 16, 2020

Hi David,

Do you have Deja Vu X2 toolbar or add-in (embedded objects) in your Powerpoint. Try the Refresh All Objects command.

Embedded objects command solves nothing Nov 16, 2020

Hi Selcuk - long time no see

Thanks for the idea - unfortunately 0 embedded objects were found and the problem persists with the converted file.

I exported the original project to a new TM.

I then re-saved the original file as a ppt instead of a pptx (at first glance no significant content has been lost), imported it, and pretranslated using the TM, which worked for about 80% of it, exported it, and it seems to have worked (of course this is a ppt with about 6k words :/)
