I am looking to get some practice with some French to English translations. I wondered if anyone on here has some samples of French material in the fields of healthcare, social sciences, education.
Around 500 words would be great.

There are any number of published articles in your named fields on the Internet. There are also bilingual texts on the Internet (journals published in two languages) which you can use to compare your translations to the published versions. A little initiative will go a long way.

You have made a good start in you (a) are using your real name and (b) have grasped the importance of specialisation.
I agree with Kevin - Google, or maybe find articles in Wikipedia, translate them, and see how they compare to the English Wikipedia?
Also search the ProZ forums for help and advice. What has not already been discussed on here is probably not worth discussing.
