Not sure that LogiTerm qualifies as a CAT tool, but here goes:

Whenever I try to access one of the tools i n the Tools menu, I get the following messgage:
"File not found:
c\Monlogi\int\logi002.ini"

Has anyone else come across this problem and/or know how to solve it?

With many thanks

Barnaby

Is Logiterm a new CAT tool? Mar 14, 2005

Hi! If yes, is there a trial version of the same, that could be downloaded.

Hi Brandis!

It's certainly rather different from the others. The best thing to do is to read what they say at:
www.terminotix.com

As to your question, they don't mention any trial download but the team is very helpful and you can always ask.
As someone who has never taken the plunge with traditional CAT TOOLS, I find the alignment tool for what they call bitexts particularly useful.

Best

Thank you for Logiterm information Mar 15, 2005

Hi! I have successfully downloaded Logiterm, the team seems to have various other products. They gave me Logiterm on 30 days trial basis, along with a patch, making it more stable. The default language are English and French whereas as an option other languages are also supported. The bitext issue you are mentioning resembles much of the bilingual text (segmented) alignment tool, we know in Trados and Fusion, only it is called differently here. But the over all touch and feel is not much comfort... See more
But the over all touch and feel is not much comfortable the GUI is not much visually descriptive. But please understand I live in a surplus of CAT tools. Shall get back later again with newer findings. I didn´t have any troubles you have mentioned earlier with this tool. Functionality is quite normal, but for a few other points I bragged earlier. Today a canadian agency had contacted me about Fortis (yet another tool). They were offering multiple copies of the tool including some training. Thought this might interest you as well.
Rgds, Brandis
