Hi, it's me again but this time I need your advice regarding wordcount with Trados Analyze.

How can I make the wordcount with Trados of only one Tag Editor file divided into two parts? I need to know how many English words each distributed part of the work has so as to notify both translators.

But Copy and Paste and make two separate files from scratch does not work with Tag Editor... obviously.

Can any of you help me with this issue, please?

Why not?
You can use cut&paste on TE files, but you need to un-protect the document (don't forget to reinstate protection afterwards).

Create two copies of the file and cut those parts that don't belong to the respective translator. I wouldn't do this to a file to be worked on (because you might damage some of the header info), but for a wordcount this should be ok.

Hi,

I already solved up the problem and it is really very simple: I opened the source file in Tag Editor and in Preview mode I copy each part and then Paste it in a rtf document. Then, I did the Analyze with Trados and it worked perfect!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks and regards,

S.-
