Does anyone have the slightest idea of how to work with a remote TM?? Can I do it with Trados 5.5 Freelance edition?

TM stored on a remote server

Hi Maria, a "remote TM" is stored on a remote server, usually within the same LAN, but IIRC it's now also possible to connect via the Internet. The translation process works the same as with a local TM - it's "just" the connection that's different.
By definition, Freelance versions are single-user licenses and hence not network-enabled. I'm not sure if T5.5 already had that functionality, but you would need at least the LSP license.
HTH, Ralf
