Hello ,
I currently have two versions of the same document, the original in english and its translation in french. I would like to build up a TM from those two files.
Do you have an idea of how I could do it ?
Thank you very much for all you suggestions.

Gabriel

Align Jul 27, 2004

I guess almost all CAT Tools offer an align function.
This is what you could use to create a TM out of the two documents.

What CAT do you use? *Ups* I see we are in TRados Support Sorry

Try these support page maybe it helps:

Look alignment up in the reference material of your CAT.

If you do not have any, PlusTools (an "extension" to Wordfast) can do the job - it a freeware (Wordfast is not, but the free demo is enough for this purpo

WinAlign Jul 27, 2004

Hi Gabriel,
Assuming that you have Trados, you can use WinAlign for this purpose.

Have a look at TranslationZone for an interactive tutorial.
