I have installed 6.5.5.438 on the same machine, I have 6.0 installed. Then I downloaded a 6.5.5.439 patch and when I try to install it, I get the message, that it did not find software to update.
When I try to run 'Register TRADOS' it tries to run GACUTIL from .NET Framework 1.0 and does not find it. I have 1.1. Is it safe to modify a batch to call 1.1 GACUTIL? Will it help me install a .439 patch?

Trados 6.5.5.438 runs just fine. 6.0.0.309 too

I have the same problem as you. I updated from 6.5.2 to 6.5.5 and the patch does not recognize the software, although trados 6.5.5 is working fine. Has the problem to do with an upgrade? (I intsalled the patch for the version 6.5.2 before I updated to 6.5.5 and it worked fine).

Deinstall T6.0 before running the upgrade
Sep 17, 2004
Hi again, I checked this with Trados Support; according to them, the problem is caused by the fact that the patch detects T6.0, and hence doesn't 'see' upgradable software. Here's what they suggest:
- deinstall T6.0; - register T6.5; - install the patch.
HTH, Ralf
