The font adaption problem has been troubled me for years. Now I'm considering upgrade to SDL Studio 2019. But seems there is no changes on this feature at all.
I'm using SDL 2017. I translate into Traditional Chinese (Taiwan) and would like to read PMingLiu as target language on the editing screen. I 've tried ALL settings available on SDL Community. However this would only possible if the source document is in plain text format. I think most of the file format has their pre-defined font type, and the "If document specific formatting is shown this may override the default font." limit prevents me from using the font I want.
Even the document has other pre-defined font type, this limit makes no sense to me. As we can see all the CAT tools provide customized feature for editing view. (Think about SDLX for example.)
I really need help or successful experience on non-Latin-based languages with docx or pptx files. Thanks a lot. ▲ Collapse
