Do I need to use database with swordfish?

Do I need to use a database to get Swordfish to work for me?

Dear Norwegian Light,

Swordfish can create its own internal databases or it can use one of the following DBMS: Oracle, MySQL 5.x, or SQLServer. I would recommend the use of internal databases if the number of segments is not that great.

The database is where the translation memory will be stored. A translation memory is where the translations will be stored.
