The point is that according to a 'new paradigm', so-called 'Windows' is merely not the ultimate goal for MS sticks to the 'corporate clouds,' more and more reducing individuals security and privacy. As far as my gadgets mostly have GPS, dual cams with mics, fingerprint readers, not to mention sensitive and private data and biz-credentials, my privacy is quite important for me. That's why 8.1 Corporate remains the last working MS OS for me. Second, I find that my allegedly 'outdated' dual-core (some of which are even faster than early marketed i3/i5) with 2GB RAM and a decent HDD/SSD still work pretty fine even with slowish software, e.g. VBA-based WordFast Classic and 45+MB TM's or databases, let alone relatively heavy multimedia en/decoding, edit and so on. Therefore, 1) [+] W7/8.x is ok, but [-] W10 is NOT appropriate for me security-wise (for now or for good); 2) [+] my hardware is ok for my tasks, needs, and job too. CONCLUSION: (In my case) the optimal decision is "don't trouble troubles until troubles trouble you!" ▲ Collapse | | | Pages in topic: < [1 2 3 4] | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » Windows 10 TM-Town | Manage your TMs and Terms ... and boost your translation business
