agree  William [Bill] Gray: As an English teacher in the Faculty of Teacher Training at Høgskolen i Nord-Trøndelag, and while recognising Jeffrey's points about "allmennlærerutdanning" and the department's rule(!), I believe this is the best understanding of "allmennlærerSTUDIET".

agree  jeffrey engberg: You're right as to the title for Universities, which fall outside Utdir's sphere of influence to a great degree. A bit long-winded title, too, if you ask me. What about Oslo's "Teacher Education Programme (PPU)"?
