Scandinavian languages (and German, I believe) use kontrol /Kontroll to cover both control and inspect, but there is a difference in English!

Explanation:
Final inspection is the "sluttkontroll". The last one.
Re-examination is used in most dictionaries, but I think the idea here is inspecting a product, before the final inspection is done and approved.
