final inspection Explanation: final inspection or final check -- is what I would use. In this case there is no real control over what happens: either the product or service is in order or it is not, so it can only be accepted or rejected, and therefore I do not call it a control. Scandinavian languages (and German, I believe) use kontrol /Kontroll to cover both control and inspect, but there is a difference in English! |

control check(s) Explanation: Final inspection is the "sluttkontroll". The last one. Re-examination is used in most dictionaries, but I think the idea here is inspecting a product, before the final inspection is done and approved. |
