Pedigree Explanation: I don't say the previous answer is wrong, but I think the analogy with pedigree is what the original writer was after. But, as we don't have access to the rest of the text, it's just a suggestion. |

track record Explanation: Again, nothing wrong with previous answers, but if this is part of a newspaper article, I think 'track record' would be even more idiomatic, even though further from the original. |
