Swedish term or phrase: effekt på 610 hästkrafter
...motorn kan skryta med marknadens högsta vridmoment och en effekt på 610 hästkrafter.

I'm not sure if I need to use a word for "effekt" or just say that it has 610 horsepower. Can I sneak in a second question? Is vridmoment torque?

This answer put me on the right track, but I must give special mention to George who provided an important clarification. Wish we could divide up Kudoz points somehow!

disagree  George Hopkins: Please note that 'hästkraft' and 'horsepower' are not the same. 610 hästkrafter is 610 metric hp, or, 601 hp. Ie, 1 hk is 735 W and 1 hp is 746 W. Otherwise OK.

agree  Hans-Bertil Karlsson (X): travhäst eller ardenner :-) (Apropå Georges kommentar)

agree  Nigel Skipper (X): And then there are different methods of measuring hp: DIN and SAE which give different values

Explanation:
I would find out which kind of HP that is implied, and specify "metrical", "imperial/US" or whatever...

"
horsepower (hp)
a unit of power representing the power exerted by a horse in pulling. The horsepower was defined by James Watt (1736-1819), theinventor of the steam engine, who determined after careful measurements that a horse is typically capable of a power rate of 550 foot-pounds per second. This means that a horse, harnessed to an appropriate machine, can lift 550 pounds at the rate of 1 foot per second. Today the SI unit of power is named for Watt, and one horsepower is equal to approximately 745.6999 watts. (Slightly differentvalues have been used in certain industries.) Outside the U.S.,
the English word "horsepower" is often used to mean the metric horsepower, a slightly smaller unit."
