English term or phrase: the French Shepherd club
".... introduced the breed and helped to set up the French Shepherd club in 1896"

I am translating into Swedish from an English translation of a French source and want to use the original French expression in the Swedish translation. The answer could be found in French edition of the Royal Canin Dog Encyclopedia (under Berger de Beauce), which I unfortunately do not have access to.

le Club français des chiens de berger

Explanation:
I cannot find the relevant expression in the Encyclopedia, but as a native French
speaker, I can assure you that "shepherd dogs" translates as "chiens de berger" in
French.
