demand for payment on account instalment Explanation: A konto is the term that is used when you prepay set amounts that are later balanced against what you actually owe. Examples on this are taxes that freelancers has to pay quarterly that is later balanced against what taxes are actually owed once the tax return is filed. Other examples are utilities that lets the users pay a set amount each month to avoid high heating bills in the winter.
