self-employed daycare provider Explanation: I'll come along with an explanation in a few minutes – have to finish a delivery first. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 12 mins (2013-04-17 01:20:28 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- "Selvstendig næringsdrivende" refers to self-employed persons such as ourselves. It's part of the Norwegian tax code, for instance, and corresponds to our "sole proprietor" for the most part. A "dagmamma" is someone who cares for your kids while you're slaving away at an employer's office or shop, wishing you had the nerve to take the leap and become "selvstendig næringsdrivende". :-) |
