Swedish term or phrase: driftsätta
From the same text about aircraft production. My dictionary tells me "deploy" or "commission", but what do you think?

"Syftet är förstås att hålla nere ledtid och kostnader, berättar Johan Carlsson, projektledare för ett delprojekt som arbetar med att driftsätta de nya artiklarna till flygplanet."

Again, quick responses appreciated on account of this being an express job.

install

Explanation:
Again there are several possibilities
deploy is an alternative but I'll suggest install or install for operation since these are only parts of the whole.

'Commission' is for the whole airplane ...

disagree  Mats Wiman: Install IMHO is to fasten, fix or similar. Before that, tests will have to be made.

-> Hmm, which goes to why Richard is having trouble with the sentence ... perhaps he is 'installing and testing' the new items ...or performing 'test installation'.

neutral  Anna Herbst: Först installerar man, sedan sätter man det i drift...eller hur?

test

Explanation:
For a part to be mounted on/in an aitcraft, it has to be tested as to its function, i.e. 'driftsättas', preferably in its place, eg. a headlight must fit its place but must also be tested as whether it functions when mounted.
