junior/assistant (crown) prosecutor Explanation: More context would be helpful, but this is a 'trainee' position, which is what this source calls it (http://users.utu.fi/tuipalo/html/Legal professionsALL.htm). I don't think Eng speaking jurisdictions use the word 'trainee' in connection with prosecutor, so this is my suggestion, based on the two references below. Temporary Public Prosecutor/Probationary Public Prosecutor Explanation: These are two different things. The first is translated in the fourth edition of Ordlista för Sveriges Domstolar as "Temporary Public Prosecutor" (see first link). (The same occurs here in the U.S. in a variety of situations.) The second title, "åklagaraspirant", is actually the initial stage in a career as a full-time prosecutor. The person is initially hired for a probationary period of at least nine months: "Under tiden som åklagaraspirant har du en provtjänstgöring på minst 9 månader, därefter följer en tillsvidareanställning. Anställs du som extra åklagare har du en visstidsanställning på minst 12 månader. " I don't know of an English translation for åklagaraspirant, so I'm suggesting "Probationary Public Prosecutor". Here in the U.S., the job title for a new hire with a law degree and possibly some additional experience (or not) would usually be Assistant District Attorney, Assistant State's Attorney or Assistant United States Attorney.
