BTX, EOX, PAH, ?, ?. Explanation: I found only three of your terms in Routledge's Fachwörterbuch Umwelttechnik: BTX - (ABWASSER) = BTX (benzene, toluol, xylene) EOX - (ABFALL, ANALYTIK, WASSER) = EOX (extractable organic halogen compounds) PAK - (ABFALL, ABWASSER, LUFT, WASSER) = PAH (polycrilic aromatic hydrocarbon) German abbreviations stand for: BTX - Benzol, Toluol, Xylol EOX - extrahierbare organische Halogenverbindungen PAK - polyzyklischer aromatischer Kohlenwasserstoff I'll keep working on the LHKW and SM. regards |

BTX, EOX, PAH, VHHC, HM Explanation: found more info re LHKW (see ref.1): 'Hazardous substance: Volatile halogenated hydrocabons (VHHC).' and agree with Sven re SM = Schwermetall (Ref 2): '.. halogenierte Kohlenwasserstoffen (HKW) und Schwermetallen (SM) belastet.' (no more text as 'This page can't be displayed'.) and 'The goal of the meeting was to evolve a procedure how to make an objective assessment of soil quality in Europe in respect to thir heavy metal (MH) and organic matter (OM) contents' http://esb.aris.sai.jrc.it/documents/2000-esb-bulletin/bulle... I'm still not 100 % sure about SM-HM. Hope somebody else can cofirm it. HTH Reference: http://www.utexas.edu/depts/bbr/natfibre/natnews/1993/Jul.19... Reference: http://rww-wt.de/abwasser.html |
