1- الأسمنت البورتلاندي العادي Ordimary Portland cement

وهذا النوع هو المستعمل عادة فى جميع أنواع المباني :

2- الأسمنت البورتلاندي السريع التصلب Quick hardeing Portland cement

أن هذا الأسمنت مثل الأسمنت البورتلاندي العادي إلا أنه يمتاز بنعومته التى تساعد على سرعة سرعة تصلبه , وتبلغ قوة هذا الأسمنت بعد يوم قوة الأسمنت العادي بعد ثلاثة أيام , ولذلك فهو يستعمل فى الأعمال التى تحتاج إلى السرعة .

3- الأسمنت الألوميتى أو الفوندي Aliminous cement or Found

يحتوى هذا النوع من الأسمنت على نسبة عالية من الألومينا ويقاوم مياة البحر الملحية وكذا تأثير الكبريات , ولذلك فهو يستعمل فى العمال البحرية وكذلك فى أساس المباني التى تنشأ فى تربة تحتوى على نسبة عالية من الكبريتات , كما أنه سريع التصلب ويصنع حاليا فى مهورية مصر العربية نوع الأسمنت يطلق عليه اسم أسمنت مياه البحر Sea water cement له نفس خواص الأسمنت الألومينى .

4- الأسمنت الملون Coloured Cement

ويوجد هذا النوع على أنواع مختلفة منها الأبيض والأحمر والأصفر والأخضر والأسود ويستعمل عادة فى أعمال البياض وفى صناعة أنواع الأرضيات .

5- الأسمنت الحديدى Slag cement

ويصنع بإضافة نسبة من خبث الحديد إلى كنكر الأسمنت البورتدي ثم طحنها إلى درجة النعومة المطلوبة , وقد بدء فى صناعته فى جمهورية مصر العربية بعد إنشاء صناعة الحديد والصلب .
