(Never/Do not) lend your ears to a heretic Explanation: A saying by Imam Malik. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Malik_ibn_Anas "لا تُمكِّن زائغ القلب من أذنك فإنك لا تدري ما يعلقك من ذلك" http://www.a7bash.com/story.php?action=show&id=338 زائغ القلب is the faithless/heretic person deviating from the true path of religion. So, the whole saying was meant to warn: "(never/do not) lend your ears to a heretic, lest they affect you". I hope that helps. |
