Arabic term or phrase: القريشة
القريشة تستخر من الحليب بعد غليه وإضافة حمض إليه، وتؤكل مع السكر
roulancls (X)
English translation:(similar to) Ricotta or cottage cheese
Explanation:
I suppose that is what we call جبنة قريش in Egypt.
You may have to transliterate it, as Saleh suggested, but the closest equivalent would be "cottage cheese" or the Italian "Ricotta".

Based on my cooking experience, when you add acid to milk, cheese would be formed, and hence, in Arabic it would be:

جبن

مع الصحة و الهناء

صالح

You may call it cream cheese, as per the following link:

http://www.leeners.com/cheesehow2.html

Quote : \"Simply put, cheese making is the process of removing water from dairy milk. The first characteristic of a cheese is based on how much water is removed. Soft cheeses like cream cheese contain more water than a hard cheese like cheddar. Very dry cheeses like parmesan contains all most no water.\"

Saleh

Though,
I still prefer calling it Kuraisha or Al-quraisha as suggested by A Nabil

cottage cheese / butter milk / Yogurt

Explanation:
Actually i can't understand what you exactly mean.
In Egypt: there are two possibilities of what you are talking about
1- cottage cheese = prepared of milk + some kind of acid (in this case there is no sugar added)
2- Yogurt / or اللبن الرايب prepared of milk + some kind of acid (yeast) (some people add sugar to this dish others don't)

If you provide more explanation it would help

agree  atef Sharia: In Brazil they call it requeijão, and seems to me equivalent to what called "Catupiry cheese"

Arish

Explanation:
This is if you mean Arish cheese:

The famous Arish cheese, introduced by the Lebanese, is made in this municipality. It has the particularity of being powdered with oregano; there are three places where it is made.
