رغم أنني لست مقتنعًا بشرح حضرتك، ولكن ليس بيدي شيء سوى التسليم بخيارك، الاصطلاح الذي تفضلتي بإدخاله في المسرد يحتمل تفسيرين كما تفضلتي بالشرح، ولكن الاصطلاح الذي اقترحته لا يحتمل إلا تفسير واحد، الناس يتكلمون عن مناسبة وعيد، ويجب أن نشير إلى ذلك بدلًا من إضفاء جو من الغموض على الترجمة،

Thank you for your detailed explanation regarding the name of this occasion. I understand the point you are making, but it is actually very common in English to refer to the occasion as "the Assumption" (with a capital A). If I say, for example, that the Assumption is an important event on the Catholic calendar, people would understand that this refers to the feast and not to the original event. The English-language dictionary I use at home lists two definitions for Assumption, one of which is:

"Celebration in the Roman Catholic Church of the Virgin Mary's being taken up into heaven when her earthly life ended; corresponds to the Dormition in the Eastern Orthodox Church."

The second definition refers to the original event itself:
"The taking up of the body and soul of the Virgin Mary when her earthly life had ended."

In any case, there are many different names used for the Assumption in English. "The Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary" is definitely valid, and I am not saying otherwise.
