Explanation:
This is one of the instances where paraphrasing becomes necessary. We could use the word celibate, however that just means that there is no intimate relationship and spinster is commonly used for women over forty who never get married and the male equivalent isP confirmed Bachelor. So, the use of the phrase "late marriage" is appropriate.

Mahammad Kalfat (X): isn't it an offensive term, and otherwise confined to legal contexts, which is not the case with the one given? however, the one can argue that عنوسة has a negative undercurrent, but still "spinster" is dated as pointed out by mbrodie.
