Fundamental Standards of Humanity Explanation: ... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 hrs (2009-09-22 13:16:29 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- The term full citizenship implies that this is a human rights issue rather than human existence and survival; therefore, I do not think that literal translation would be appropriate on this occasion. Full translation would be; “Full citizenship is the main principle of the Fundamental Standards of Humanity”. See http://www.icrc.org/web/eng/siteeng0.nsf/html/57JQTJ |

Reference: meaning? Reference information: "human condition" has a specific connotation http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Human_condition and I think "condition" in that connotation corresponds to حالة rather than شَرْط. So I guess your term must refer to something else. Could it be "the prerequisite for being human" -- does that make sense in the context? |
