"Bolan" mi je vrlo autentičan izraz, i nije ga lako jednom rečju prevesti, jer se može koristiti u različitim situacijama. "Bro" mi je jedno od prihvatljivih rešenja, ali bih ja radije išla sa "man", zato što mi je "bro" isključivo "prijateljski" termin, a "man" se može koristiti i u "negativnim" rečenicama, ne toliko prijateljskom razgovoru, što se odnosi i na "bolan".

Takođe, "man" bih upotrebila u obraćanju i muškarcima i ženama.

Npr. Ne diraj to, bolan! - Don't touch it, man! (instead of "Don't touch it, bro!")
Gdje si, bona?! - Where are you, man?!



Naravno, sve zavisi od konteksta, pa "bro" može više odgovarati.

I think both "dude" and "bolan" sound equally retarded; thus, I believe that dude is even ore suitable than 'man' [=momce].
