  -> thanks, but i think it is rather the plural "perpetual checks".. perhaps we should play a game to decide who's right :-)

  -> because they are perpetual, and you give more than 1 check.. this means you can give 2, 3, 4, and so on checks to the opposite player's king.. ever played chess?
