Catalan to English translations [PRO]

Catalan term or phrase: (full de) tall
I know this is "corte" in Spanish. I even have a Termcat definition that I think fits. I am just having a hard time 1) finding an equivalent
2) making sense of the usage here (why is it singular in the title?, what is a full de tall? (hoja de corte))
3) knowing if I am right

Termcat: "Figura que representa un territori seccionat per un pla vertical imaginari, amb la finalitat de veure'n el perfil topogràfic resultant i els detalls de l'estructura i composició geològiques"

Pel què fa al servei XXX, es mostra la URL que accedeix a la pàgina on hi ha la documentació d'accés als diferents serveis WMS. Pel què fa a la descàrrega, es mostra la URL que accedeix al visualitzador de mapes; cal clicar al punt sobre el qual es vol descarregar la cartografia. Cliqueu sobre el format de descàrrega més adient i seguiu les instruccions.

Imagine a 3D map that has been cut vertically. The purpose of a full de tall is to show the different layers and materials.

The link I posted is actually a full de tall of skin, not land, but you get the idea.

Sorry I can't help you with the translation of the term, though...

Asker: That is also what I thought. Bu I wasn't sure if it was horizontal or vertical cross-section. And I can't find anything related to cross-section or any variant I can think of that had any references to cartogrpahy or topograhy. Anyway, thank foir the help!! :)
