Catalan term or phrase: la renda de mercat
I kind of get what this is, given that it is accompanied by an explanation, but does anyone know the exact term in English?

CONTEXT:

La distribució de la ***renda de mercat*** i el funcionament del mercat de treball

SUMARI: Aquest apartat del treball se centra en l’examen de la distribució de la ***renda de mercat***, és a dir, de la renda abans de l’aplicació dels instruments de redistribució, impostos i transferències.

Thanks for any input on this,

English translation:Market Rent
Explanation:
I looked for the English equivalent of the Spanish term "renta de mercado" (as there are far more English-Spanish resources) and found "market rent"; however, I am worried that the word "rent" is too strongly linked to housing and infrastructure rather than a more general meaning as that seems to be the main result when I look up "market rent" in Google.

Turns out it was Market income - I left an explanation on the question page for anyone else who has problems with the term.

Asker: Yes, I am not convinced by that one, either. It sounds like a literal translation.
