Catalan term or phrase: quadrant d’alt impacte
This just sounds awful to me. Anyone know what the author is trying to say? Could it possibly mean the top 25%? TIA :)

Explanation:
I don't think it refers to an exact proportion, it just means that they're up there with the best. I'd go for something like 'Catalonia ... has come to occupy a place among the leaders in scientific production' HTH
