This is a text about the Swiss painter Rudolf Häsler which I am translating into German but I am asking this into English as well since unfortunately there seem to be very few Catalan-German translators out there on Proz!
I don't understand the part between asterisks - his method of constructing his paintings yields overwhelming results, but this is not enough for the spectators? I suppose this means something completely different here - could someone give me a hint please?

Many thanks for your help already in advance!

... but it doesn't stop there.

Explanation:
Without the context I would have said that this was "that's not enough" but it seems clear that this is a more positive use of the phrase. I cannot help with the German but I can confirm that this phrase is also used to convey a sense of "but there's more" where the insufficiency is not in the object itself but the comprehension of those interpreting it.
