The full context is:

But I am not at all sure thrt this is not Old Italian rather than Old French, or perhaps even Provencal.

Explanation:
This is clearly Catalan, one of the most beautiful languages in the Latin language family, and which is indeed related with Occitan and Provenal, as the 3 are langues d'oc, and not langue d'oïl, which was the origin dialect for modern French.
