Chinese term or phrase: 买一加一
The meaning seems to be something like this: buy one, get one free.
If my assumption is correct, what is the difference between 买一送一 and 买一加一. And this later one is used in connection with alcoholic drinks. Why?
Thanks!

Two for the price of one

Explanation:
I think 买一加一 means customers can get one item free after buying another from a store. These two items may not be the same kind of products. For example, customers may get one bag of rice free after buying one bottle of peanut oil.

A possible play on words

Explanation:
This could possibly be a play on words or a "文字游戏".

According to this entrance on Baidu (which also refers to the sale of alcohol) it means "buy 2, pay for 2". (就是你买2瓶,花2份钱。商家的文字游戏)

It's something to consider as 买一送一 is so ubiquitous there must be a reason they didn't use it.
