Street thugs Explanation: I think Street Gangs is a good translation, but somehow I feel this phrase has a "hoodlum" kind of element to it. This is just my feeling, and the reason why I chose "Street Thugs". There is no reason to see why it would be sexy. |

Juvenile Delinquents Explanation: It does come from Cantonese. Hooligans would also do. There was no hint of violence so street gangs and alley toughs does not fit. Point of interest is the Cantonese differentiate their delinquents into male and females in their colloquy, whilst I know of no corresponding term in English. |
