@Shaunna: When I do back-translation project, I have to be very loyal to what the text says and it is not our job to improve on the text. On the contrary, we have to mirror the ambiguities/errors so that the researcher can spot what have been stated in a wrong way in the text we were given to translate.

I see. back-translation. I don't understand why they would do that. You would definitely have made it much better than the Chinese text in many places I guess.
As for SC injections at 6 sites, surely you can do that. I did it (>6 sites) myself before.

To Shaunna: I got confirmed that this is a back-translation project and the terms in question are definately ambiguous. They can mean a number of things. I pointed this ambiguity out to remind the reviewer to make a final judgement. Your answer makes sense but I'm insecure about it. How can you make 6 injection sites on a rat? Is it neccessary? Also, "repeated dosage" at a certain interval was mentioned several times in the text but multiple site injection was not. Hope you understand it.

Or if they meant to test the effect of different administration time on the pharmacokinetics, at least one in the morning and one in the afternoon. 1pm and 6pm?? Who would design a trial like that?

can't help commenting again:
Even if the did tested the drug by two injections a day, 1pm and 6pm just sound a weird schedule. 8am and 8pm would make more sense. Or if for convenience considerations, 9am and 4pm would be better.

确实是很乱。
我觉得不是时间，因为没见过研究讲时间讲这么清楚的，再说既然这么清楚了怎么不说上午下午？如果真要这么清楚研究一天内不同时间给药的影响，那时间因素就应该非常重要了，你不在这里看到也该在别处见过了。
