In the first book that I link to below, you will see 4 examples of "先后完成了" being used that way. 一年: In the phrase "从今天起在接下来的一年时间里", the expression "从今天起" means "from today", "接下来的" means "the next" or "the following", "一年时间" means "a year's time", and "在...里" means "within", so the second half of this sentence would be, literally, "...and plans, within one year's time from today, to complete Project C."
