2d bitmap Explanation: are you just talking about texture mapping (give the 3d structure a "skin"), or using 2d info to re-construct a 3d structure (one topic in computer vision)? -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 57 mins (2009-12-24 06:46:42 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- nvm my previous question. in both case it should just be "2d bitmap data" or "2d bitmap info". by the way, i know that a word-by-word translation would be "planar bitmap", but "planar" in "planar bitmap" actually describes the way pixel data in the file are organized (i.e., data are separated into planes), rather than the fact that the data the author of the essay has are 2d, which i think is what the author is trying to stress. |
