Chinese term or phrase: 胡杨
I found its school name: diversiform-leaved poplar, diversifolious poplar.
Is there any commonly use name for it.

Thank you in advance.

I wouldn't know anything about the Scottish slang. It is probably known simply as a 'poplar' to most people.

Asker: Thanks! Pei Ling.

Asker: But, I can't imagine a peasant from high land of Scotland using its school name when talking about 胡杨behind his cottage.
