I used 'news events' for '新闻事件' and if I need to keep the '新闻' in the '新闻事实', any suggestion how I can do it? I appreciate your help.

My understanding of the Chinese text is 新闻事件 mainly refers to the event, but not indepth report. 新闻事实 sounds to me more like news stories, indepth report, the truth behind the news. Just my understanding.

  -> thanks, actually, the first thing that came into my mind is news happenings, that is exactly what the chinese means. but I went for news stories because its probably more common even though its a little different from the original Chinese literally
