related parties to the construction/engineering contract Explanation: 要看这里“工程”是取 'construction' 还是 'engineering' 的意思。一般来说应该是‘engineering' 不过看例句却觉得是 'construction'。 由于 'related parties to the...' 也代表了是与这份契约之进行有关，所以我觉得“之进行”不用译出来因为会有点直译的感觉。 -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 43 mins (2011-07-12 23:25:25 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I'll add an explanation in English: It depends on whether “工程” means "construction" or "engineering" in the sentence. It would seem more likely to be "engineering" based on the usual use of the term, but the sentence makes it sound more like "construction" or even "project". I have left “之进行” untranslated as "related parties to the..." also implies that these parties are involved in the completion/progression of the “工程”, and because I think that translating "之进行" would make the sentence too literal. |
