Chinese term or phrase: 通讯员 of a 通讯连
通讯员 is a military title/rank for a type of soldier in the People's Liberation Army. He is a member of a 通讯连 (Communications Company?). My Chinese- English military dictionary (Han-Ying Ying-Han junshi da cidian) just says "orderly," but I've been reserving that term for the title of another character in the novel I'm translating, a 公务员. Any suggestions for how to translate this term, as well as resources for English translations of Chinese military terms, would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks!
