Dordjeletru = A teacher and protector of Tibetan Nyingmapa Explanation: Hello, everyone, I just spoke with my Tibetan translator, he told me that "Dordjeletru" has 2 meanings. The first meaning is that it is a teacher and protector of Tibetan Nyingmapa (=Red Sect of Buddhism). Yes, it is an unique god. The second meaning is that it is also a religious instrument called "Vajra Thunderbolt".Minya Konka is also known by more people in China as "Gongga Shan" or "Mt. Gongga". My Tibetan friend is not sure the meaning of "Minya Konka". He believes these two words are from the local Tibetan dialect in the mountain area. |
