U prvoj okončanoj fazi testiranja postrojenje čeličane je već atestirano na tzv. „hladnu probu“ (pokretanje postrojenja u prazno, bez grijanja peći taljenja metala), a slijedeća faza testiranja je tzv. „topla proba“ odnosno pokretanje probne proizvodnje - taljenje željeza i lijevanje čeličnih gredica - tijekom koje se testiraju pojedini segmenti postrojenja čeličane (elektrolučna i lončasta peć, livni lonac, konti lijevalica te sustav otprašivanja).
