Czech to English translations [PRO]
Law/Patents - Chemistry; Chem Sci/Eng / Organic chemistry: prostaglandins
Czech term or phrase: adaktů
In a Czech patient for prostaglandin purification, discussion of previous Czech or Czechoslovak patent:

...nebo na izolaci adaktů prostaglandinů s dusičnanem stříbrným čs. pat. spis (242 281).

I do not know the singular nominative form for this word, could be adakt or adaket?

What is the meaning of this word and/or translation into English?

Thanks!

English translation:adduct
Explanation:
I reckon it must be something like this, although I don't think it's strictly speaking an 'adduct of prostaglandin and silver nitrate' in the chemical sense.

'prostaglandins could be detected as silver ion adducts'

Or maybe yes... one of prostaglandin's C=C bonds as a ligand of the Ag+ cation, with NO3- as a counterion?

P.S. adduct = product of a reaction of addition
