dějiny výtvarné kultury

English translation: History of Art and Visual Culture

Czech term or phrase: dějiny výtvarné kultury
This is one of the subjects taken by a student in his school-leaving (maturita) exam:

z dějin výtvarné kultury

The course as a whole has an arts-and-crafts emphasis, so I'm not convinced this is just 'fine arts'.

The student's subject is 'uměleckořemeslné zpracování dřeva' and the specialisation is 'práce řezbářské'.

I'm assuming it's "history of" and "art and visual culture", as opposed to "history of art" and "visual culture". Hard to tell. :-)

Thank you. This is the version I used. In fact I had to send off the job before I received all the answers.
Personally I'm happy to keep the word 'art'.
