Difficult one to call - this is actually the term that I used (and the client was OK with it), although Igor's suggestion might come closer - give yourself a notional point and I owe you a beer :) Good debate - thanks to all contributors. 3 KudoZ points were awarded for this answer
ano - proc nemuze zakaznik platit rovnou pres internet kreditni/platebni kartou? Ale to je tak, jak to je ... Jinak jde o ceskou firmu v ramci Ceske republiky - v Anglii ma napriklad skoro kazdy zakaznik platebni kartu takze takova sluzba vypada trochu divne - dobirky nemame (podle me u nas listonos ani nesmi nosit u sebe hotovost)
V texte ktory poskytol Gerry ..."ak nemate hotovost a pouzili ste prepravnu sluzbu mozete platit platobnou kartou". Ano ale za co? Tovar alebo tovar a extra charges, for ? Ak dostanem balik, tovar, nemozem platit hned pri doruceni dobierky "platobnou kartou" - debit card (lebo ju mozno nemam), vonkoncom uz nie by by credit card (nie kazdy ma credit c.)
Maloobchod, dobierka do domu ?
Cash - for the sake of argument I am defining 'cash' as physical currency and equivalents thereof (in all its forms). But it is too late now as I have sent it :)
OK guys - thank you all for your interesting contributions. I had no idea that such an extensive debate would come from this :) Having just about completed the translation, the point of this new and apparently unique service is that the customer can pay for everything by card when it arrives, so to keep things simple I have selected COD and the customer seems to be happy with that. But feel free to continue the debate!
doběrečné a COD are two diff. things doběrečné - v pripade uhrady dobírkou je učtovano doběrečné www.patrokolos.eu ...ale k dobírce je prčicteno doběrečné www. zidle-eshop.cz- extra payment for shipping and handling and how, by credit card, money order, or...
More context: 'Tato služba jako první nabízí zcela ojedinělou možnost platby doběrečného, kterou zatím žádná jiná přepravní společnost neumožňuje. Jedná se o uhrazení dobírky platební kartou!'
The cash is coming from the customer, and payment can be made by card if so desired. I presumed it was COD - I'm just blocked up with flu at the moment and my brain is functioning about 25% :)
This type of transaction is better known as cash on delivery. However, as other forms of payment became more common, the word "cash" was replaced with the word "collect" to incorporate transactions with checks, credit cards or debit cards.

This is the right term in a case of paying using credit od debit cards.
