I'd say this make sense. And yes, "na jedno" = "one beer"

Explanation:
The 'strejdo' is quite a tricky one as it could be used in jest as a sort of term of endearment, or he might really be talking to his uncle. My niece called me that the other day, and I felt very old all of a sudden :)

Asker: 'old chap' - that's the obvious one I didn't think of! I was thinking of 'mate' - in fact I was thinking of not translating 'strejdo' at all.

agree  Jirka Bolech: Non-native speakers' views seem to be allowed: I like this suggestion best. I'd just replace 'so' with "do'. I don't think that "když tak" has really a conditional or causality meaning here. "Spravit" may specifically mean 'fix your hangover'...
