decision on damages Explanation: As previously noted, výrok is “operative part” in EU (i.e. civil) law. However, the way the Czech legal system is structured I think there are occasions where you simply can’t avoid “verdict”. Otherwise it’s just going to get messy. The EU courts themselves make relatively free use of verdict. Hence my “verdict of acquittal” proposal. Here, too, I don’t think anyone would complain if you were to use “verdict on damages”. |
